OT-215 215mm (8.5”) Cerametallic Clutches are primarily designed applications such Pro Touring and Track Day cars that are regularly driven at racetrack events and driven occasionally on the road. They offer a good compromise between larger diameter/heavier OEM-type clutches and smaller diameter/lighter 184mm (7.25”) racing clutches. Compared to a 184mm (7.25” clutch) wint an equivalent number of discs an OT-215 Cerametallic Clutch provides approximately 50% more mass for increased heat capacity to keep overall clutch temperatures down, while providing higher torque capacity and better modulation.
OT-215 8.5” Cerametallic Clutches feature riveted friction buttons onto a heat-treated steel core plate. This type of disc, compared to discs with sintered friction material*, better resists core plate cracking that can be caused by engine/transmission misalignment issues and/or engine harmonics.
* Friction material sintering process anneals core plate but allows for a thinner disc thickness and provides maximum friction surface area
Version | TORQUE CAPACITY | WEIGHT | ||
Nm | lb-ft | KG | Lbs | |
2-disc | 1140 | 840 | 6.35 | 14.0 |
3-disc | 1700 | 1260 | 8.2 | 18.0 |
