The Schroth Racing Profi Seat provides a professional solution for making custom seats and inserts for drivers. The system comprises of a vacuum bag filled with impact absorbing beads that a quick curing (approx 30 minutes) resin is added to in order create a seat that is flame resistant and offers insulation from both vibration and impact energy.
These seats have been used in many areas of motorsport including LMP and all levels of single seater racing, we've even supplied one to an aerobatics pilot!
Profi Seats are not temperature sensitive and will not shrink over time.
Each kit is supplied with a vacuum bag filled with the appropriate volume of impact absorbtion bead mix, hose for connecting to a vacuum cleaner, resin (which is coloured to help show how well it's mixed with the beads), mixing jug, funnel, mixing stick and instructions. We stock a small foot operated vacuum pump allowing fine tuning of the vacuum level as well as flame retardent material suitable for covering your finished seat together with a suitable spray adhesive for affixing it.
5 Sizes of kit are available:
30 Litre:
Ideally suits tight cockpits or a liner / insert inside a seat shell or extractable seat.
Applications: F1, F2, Touring Car, LMP, Formula Ford, F2, F4 & Historic cockpits with bigger drivers.
40 Litre:
As for 30 Litre but with a smaller driver
50 Litre:
The most popular single seater kit for applications such as: Formula Renault, F3, F4, plus LMP & also has been used for smaller drivers (and we mean SMALL!) in seat shells such as GT, Touring Cars & some extractable seats.
70 Litre:
Like a 50 Litre, designed to be a stand alone seat in open cockpits such as: Caterhams, Radical, Sports 2000, & also has been used for small drivers in Formula Renault, F3, IRL, Indy Lights & Super Formula.
