The 5kw midi heater is ideal for medium size cabin spaces. It features a 3 speed fan motor which offers up to 399 m³/hr (235cfm) of airflow and an aluminium heater core that is designed to accept 5/8" (16mm) heater hose, the inlet incorporates an on/off valve suitable for remote operation via a bowden cable.
The heater matrix is enclosed in a sturdy 2.5mm thick aluminium case which is fitted with 4 outlet stubs allowing connection of 2" (51mm) ID ducting.
Please Note:
1. The water valve if not a bypass design, when in the off position no water will flow back to the engine, therefore this heater is unsuitable for use on a vehicle which also uses the heater circuit as the engines thermostat bypass circuit. If you engine has no thermostat bypass circuit you have 2 options: (A) Retrofit a thermostat bypass water circuit thought not always possible, or (B) clamp the valve on the heater fully open so it cannot move and then install or use the original heater bypass valve.
2. This is not a stand-alone heater system. You will need to provide a hot water supply by plumbing your heater to your vehicles engine cooling system.
3. This is not a complete kit. We would recommend the following additional items: 4 Position Fan Switch, Rotary heater control knob, bowden cable, water hose, air ducting, air vents ect.
