Below is a brief overview of regulatory requirements for various types of motorsport:
- Saloon circuit race cars require a minimum of a 2.25 kg Zero 360, 3 Litre Zero 2020 ABF or a 4 Ltr Zero 2000 AFFF plumbed in system.
- Single seat race cars & sports prototypes can use a 1.5kg (or 2.0, 2.25 & 3.0kg) Zero 360, 3 Litre Zero 2020 ABF or a 4 Ltr Zero 2000 AFFF plumbed in system.
- Rally cars require a plumbed in system containing at least 3.0kg of extinguishant, meaning a choice of an appropriately sized Zero 3620 system, 3.0 kg Zero 360 system, 3 Litre Zero 2020 ABF or a 4 Ltr Zero 2000 AFFF system as well as a 2.0kg Zero 360 or 2.4 Ltr Zero 2000 hand held unit. Current WRC, R5, S2000 and T1 vehicles must use a system from Technical List 52.
