Why Competition Supplies?
This mechanical release bearing assembly is a replacement part for use in Ford Type 9 gearboxes when used with competition clutches. The steel carrier is used with the O.E. clutch release fork on the gearbox but is fitted with either a radiused contact clutch release bearing with either a 44mm bearing to suit Tilton 7 1/4" (184mm) clutch installations or 52mm for non Tilton installations.
The effective height of the installation from the fork conact face on the carrier to the cluch contact point on the bearing is 27mm. The bore of the carrier is 34.1mm giving the required clearance fit to the O.E. ford Type 9 transmission nose.
